RESOLUTION 6420
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A REPLACEMENT TRACTOR FOR THE
PARKS DIVISION
WHEREAS, the City Council previously approved the purchase of a 1990
Ford 4630 Tractor; and
WHEREAS. said tractor has been in use for fourteen years and has
reached its economical useful life; and
WHEREAS. said tractor has a the trade in value of 511 ,500.00: and
WHEREAS. 570,000 has been budgeted in tile Parks Division 2003
budget (100-4360-7030) for the replacement of the1990 Ford 4630 Tractor: and
WHEREAS. Staff has performed an extensive study and evaluation of
tractors th21t arc desirJned to meet our needs; and
WHEREAS. the AEBI Terratrac TT70S Tractor 1121S proven to he safe.
dependable and user friondly; and
WHEREAS, Staff recommends purchasing an 72" PTO driven sweeper
(32" diameter); and
WHEREAS, said tractor would be purchased under state contract and
thus forego the requirement to acquire additional bids; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Mounds View City Council
does hereby approve the purchase of an AEBI Terratrac TT70S Tractor along
with the aforementioned accessories under state contract in the amount of'
$70.974.00 and approve the trade in of the 1990 Ford 4630 Tractor at a credited
value of $11.500.00. Inclucling tax, this represents a net City cost of 563,339.81.
