RESOLUTION NO. 8177 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> Adopting the 2014 Property Tax Levy <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council has conducted numerous meetings and has made available detailed copies of <br /> the proposed 2014 Budget; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council provided the public an opportunity to speak at the Truth in Taxation meeting on <br /> November 25, 2013 to take comment on the proposed 2014 tax levy; and <br /> WHEREAS, General Obligation Improvement Bonds of 2004 were issued and require a debt service levy of <br /> $191,798; and <br /> WHEREAS,when the Fire Improvement Bonds of 2005 were issued,the debt service was scheduled to be <br /> $97,931, however due to changes in the allocation of costs between participating cities, Mounds View's <br /> actual 2014 cost on said bonds will be $101,129; and <br /> WHEREAS, when the Fire Equipment Certificates of 2011 were issued, the debt service was scheduled to <br /> be$51,043, however due to changes in the allocation of costs between participating cities, Mounds View's <br /> actual 2014 cost on said bonds will be $55,219. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View that the following <br /> property tax levy for 2014 is hereby approved: <br /> General Fund base levy $ 3,399,719 <br /> Fire Bonds of 2005 levy 101,129 <br /> Fire Equipment Certificates of 2011 levy 55,219 <br /> PERA rate increase levy 39,145 <br /> Police Referendum market value levy 178,000 <br /> Total General Fund property tax levy $ 3,773,212 <br /> G.O. Improvement Bonds of 2004 debt service levy $ 191,798 <br /> Street Improvement Capital Projects Fund levy $ 300,000 <br /> Total Property Tax Levy $ 4.265.010 <br /> and the City Administrator is hereby directed to notify Ramsey County and the State of Minnesota of said <br /> 2014 property tax levy. <br /> Said resolution was declared to have been duly passed and adopted this 9th day of December, 2013. <br /> J r= Flahertjior <br /> ATTEST: <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (SEAL) <br />
