<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4985 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />ST A TE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING ABATEMENT OF NUISANCE CODE VIOLATIONS LOCATED AT <br />7685 KNOLLWOOOD DRIVE, MOUNDS VIEW, MINNESOTA, 55112 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, William Pearson is the person listed as the taxpayer for the property located at 7685 <br />Knollwood Drive, Mounds View, Minnesota 55112 (the Property) on the County of Ramsey's tax records; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, William Pearson is responsible for maintaining nuisance code violations on the <br />Property that include but are not limited to: <br /> <br />1. large wood accumulations that are not stacked; <br /> <br />2. automobile' parts and doors scattered on the Property; <br /> <br />3. garbage bag accumulations; and <br /> <br />4. abandoned and junk vehicles with expired license plates (license numbers Magoo-l, 220 <br />JXH, 129 EKW, 869 EZE, 763 EVN), as well as additional abandoned and junk vehicles <br />that cither did not have license plate numbers or whose numbers were not visible; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in a lettcr dated June 7,1996 from the City of Mounds View (the City), notified <br />William Pearson that the conditions on his property constituted nuisance violations and required him to <br />remove such nuisances or have all the nuisance code violations remedied by June 28, 1996; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City reinspected the Property on July 30, 1996 and dctennined that violations <br />described above continue to remain on the Property despite the earlier notification of violations by the City; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in a letter dated July 30, 1996, the City notified William Pearson that the code <br />violations on the Property constituted a public nuisance and the City Council would consider abating the <br />nuisance on the Property at the August 12, 996 City Council Meeting; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that nuisance code violations at 7685 Knollwood constitute <br />public health and safety hazards which the City may abate and assess the costs of as special assessments <br />against the Property pursuant to Minn. Stat. ~ 429.101; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has complied with the notice provisions for a nuisance abatement proceeding <br />set forth in the Mounds View Municipal Code ~ 607.08 Subd. 1; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the nuisance code violations remain on the Property and it is proposed <br />that thc City abate the nuisance code violations pursuant to Mounds Vicw Municipal Code ~ 607.08; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, William Pearson will be personally liable to the City for the costs of abatement, <br />
