RESOLUTION NO. 5992
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING APRIL 24,2003, AS "ARBOR DAY"
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has been recognized for twenty
consecutive years as a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation for its
efforts in urban forestry; and
WHEREAS, trees in our City beautify our surroundings, shade our parks and
residences, increase property values and enhance the economic vitality of business
areas; and
WHEREAS, Scouts and concerned residents will be planting trees at the Mounds
View Community Center; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that April 24, 2003, be Arbor Day in
Mounds View and that public-spirited and foresighted citizens will be called upon to
assist in the planting of trees for the use and enjoyment of present and future
generations.
