RESOLUTION NO. 5993
APPROVING SUBMITTAL AND EXECUTION OF THE CITY'S GENERAL
STORM WATER PERMIT FOR SMALL MUNICIPAL SEPARATE STORM
SEWER SYSTEMS (MS4S) /STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION
PROGRAM
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
WHEREAS, NPDES Phase II (National Pollution Discharge
Elimination System) is the next step in the United States Environmental
Protection Agency's (USEPA) effort to preserve, improve, and protect the
Nation's water resources from polluted storm water runoff; and
WHEREAS, the main component of the NPDES Permit, as it
relates to the City of Mounds View, is the Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer
Systems or (MS4s) permit; and
WHEREAS, the Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems
or (MS4's) permit requires the City to develop a Storm Water Pollution
Prevention Program or (SWPPP); and
WHEREAS, the NPDES Phase II Permit Application has been
completed and is ready for execution and submittal to the Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA).
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View
City Council does hereby approve submittal and execution of the City's General
Storm Water Permit for Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4's)
/ Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program.
Adopted this 14th day of April 2003.
