RESOLUTION NO. 6009
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVE EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTAL LETTER OF AGREEMENT WITH SHORT, ELLIOTT,
HENDRICKSON INC., AND AUTHORIZE THE PREPARATION OF A PRELIMINARY FEASIBILITY
REPORT AND PLANS AND SPECIFICATION FOR THE 2003 PATHWAY CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City's Pathway Plan was discussed at the February 3, 2003 City Council
Work Session; and
WHEREAS, the City Council identified four pathway segments they would consider to be a
priority; and
WHEREAS, these segments are:
. Along the north side of County Road H2 - from County Road 10 to Program Avenue,
. Along the east side of Edgewood Drive - from County Road H2 to Edgewood Middle
School.
. Along the north side of County Road 10 - adjacent to the wetland area located just
southeast of Walgreen's store.
. Along the south side of County Road 10 - from Woodale Drive to the south connecting
into the existing trail.
WHEREAS, for this project to proceed, additional work is necessary to develop a preliminary
feasibility report and plans and specifications; and
WHEREAS, on April 15, 2002, the City's engineering firm of Short, Elliott, Hendrickson, Inc,
(SEH) submitted a supplemental letter of agreement outlining the scope of work to be provided; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the proposed services is estimated to be $19,100,00 and the Special
Projects Fund is identified as the funding source,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View,
Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. The Mayor and Interim City Administrator are hereby authorized to execute said
supplemental letter agreement.
2. The preparation of the preliminary feasibility report, and the plans and specifications for
the 2003 Pathway Construction Project, is hereby authorized.
