RESOLUTION NO. 6019
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE CONTRACT AWARD FOR THE ANNUAL SANITARY
SEWER ROOT ABATEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City annually budgets and received bids for root removal
in the City's sanitary sewer system; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department solicited bids from several
companies and set a May 21, 2003 deadline for submittal of bids; and
WHEREAS, On May 21, 2003 a total of five (5) bids have been received;
and
WHEREAS, the low bidder was Westco Environmental Services, Inc. in
the estimated amount of $12,844.86 ($1.02/ foot); and
WHEREAS, the 2003 adopted budget has $15,000.00 in funds allocated
for root removal in the City's sanitary sewer system (account 730-4823-5160).
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City
Council does hereby approve a contract award with Westco Environmental
Services, Inc. in the estimated amount of $12,844.86 for the Annual Sanitary
Sewer Root Abatement Project.
Adopted this 2ih day of May 2003.
