CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
ST ATE OF MINNESOTA
~SOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUPPORT OF THE MOUNDS VIEW COMMUNITY
llHEATRE CONSISTENT WITH THE POLICY FOR THE SUPPORT OF ARTISTIC
ORGANIZATIONS
WHEREAS, on May 27, 2003, the City Council adopted a policy for the support of artistic
organization consistent with MN Statutes 471.941; and,
WHEREAS, to receive support, the artistic organization shall submit a letter describing (1)
theiorganization sufficient to establish that it is within the definition of an artistic organization as set
forth in 471.941 and (2) the type of support requested; and,
WHEREAS, on May 30, 2003, the City received a request from the Mounds View
Community Theatre artistic organization to utilize the City's copier; and,
WHEREAS, consistent with the Policy, the Interim City Administrator reviewed the request
and determined it complied with said Policy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds View,
consistent with the adopted Policy for the support of artistic organizations, approves the request for
support from the Mounds View Community Theater as follows:
Use of the City's copy machine, subject the following limitations:
1. The nwnber of "impressions" shall be limited to 6,000 or less
2. City use of copier shall take priority
3. City staff will not operate copier on behalf of MVCT
4. MVCT shall provide their own paper and any necessary office supplies
5. The timeframe shall be limited to June and July of2003
