RESOLUTION NO. 6053
APPROVING A CONTRACT AWARD TO REPAIR THE GYMNASIUM FLOOR
AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
WHEREAS, on July 7, 2003 the City submitted a General Property Loss
Notice to the City's insurance provider, the League of Minnesota Cities for water
damage sustained to gymnasium floor at the Community Center; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department solicited bids from several
companies to repair the gymnasium floor at the Community Center; and
WHEREAS, a total of five (5) bids have been received; and
WHEREAS, the low bidder was Gym Floor Specialists & Consultants
Incorporated in the estimated amount of $25,350.00; and
WHEREAS, the City currently has a ten thousand dollar ($10,000)
deductible on property damage. Assuming that the insurance company accepts
this claim, the deductible will be derived from the Community Center Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City
Council does hereby approve a contract award with Gym Floor Specialists &
Consultants Incorporated in the estimated amount of $25,350.00 to repair
damage sustained to gymnasium floor at the Community Center.
