RESOLUTION 8286 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> Denying a Cigarette/Tobacco License <br /> for Babelon, Inc., Doing Business as Sam's Food Market, <br /> Located at 2408 County Road I <br /> WHEREAS, Babelon, Inc., recently submitted an application for a <br /> cigarette/tobacco license for Sam's Food Market located at 2408 County Road I ; and <br /> WHEREAS, Babelon, Inc., has submitted application materials and fees; and <br /> WHEREAS, the licensing period would be July 29, 2014- June 30, 2015; and <br /> WHEREAS, all City of Mounds View business licenses must be approved by the <br /> City Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, on July 3, 2014, City staff witnessed a tobacco sale at Sam's Food <br /> Market and police were immediately dispatched and cited the business owner in <br /> accordance with the City Code for selling tobacco products without a business license; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to City Code Section 512.05, Babelon, Inc. has failed to <br /> provide or has provided false or misleading information and has not corrected <br /> deficiencies in previous application materials or provided appropriate answers to the <br /> City Council to address such issues. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does <br /> hereby deny a cigarette/tobacco license to Babelon, Inc., doing business as Sam's <br /> Food Market, located at 2408 County Road I based on the foregoing recitals which are <br /> incorporated herein by reference. <br /> Adopted this 28th day of July, 2014. <br /> e Flaherty, Mai <br /> ATTEST: <br /> ' -_3(/A/A4.1 e---IL,LAAgl---- <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (seal) <br /> 447715v2 SJR MU125-65 <br />
