RESOLUTION NO. 8282 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING A REVISED JOB DESCRIPTION AND AUTHORIZATION TO <br /> ADVERTISE FOR THE POLICE SUPPORT SPECIALIST POSITION <br /> WHEREAS, the police support specialist position is an essential position overseeing <br /> the administrative functions of the department; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Support Specialist serves the general public in person and <br /> by phone providing proper referrals for the services required; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining all police <br /> records, reports and other documents in the most accurate and efficient manner; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Support Specialist serves as the Terminal Agency <br /> Coordinator (TAC) which must comply with all state and federal requirements for records <br /> management, training and auditing; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Support Specialist is responsible for all data practices <br /> matters involving the collection, security and dissemination of records; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Support Specialist is responsible for all criminal justice <br /> records systems (CJDS) reporting to the BCA; and <br /> WHEREAS, the job description for Police Support Specialist has been revised to <br /> remove outdated duties and add more accurate responsibilities and qualifications; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Support Specialist position will be vacant as of October 31, <br /> 2014 due to the retirement of Linda Meyer; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Civil Service Commission met on July 23, 2014, to review <br /> and approve the job description and the process to advertise and hire a replacement police <br /> support specialist. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br /> View, Ramsey County, Minnesota to approve the revised job description and advertise for <br /> the upcoming vacancy for the Police Support Specialist. <br /> Ado. • this 28th day of July 2014. <br /> J.
