CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
Resolution Approving a Youth Golf Grant Request to the
Mounds View Lions Charitable Gambling Committee
In the amount of $1,748
WHEREAS, there are funds available through the Mounds View Lions to support
youth recreation or athletic activities in the area; and,
WHEREAS, in cooperation with the YMCA, Bridges staff will create a program
which will provide golf opportunities for the youth in Mounds View.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does
hereby authorize The Bridges Golf Course to establish a program for youth golf
administered by the Bridges Golf Course and the YMCA being funded by money obtained
through a grant from the Mounds View Lions,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that City Council authorizes the
Golf Course to submit a charitable grant request to the Mounds View Lions.

Exhibit A:
Through this program, golf will be available to youth throughout the Mounds View
Lions area. Youth whom are in need of opportunities, which provide positive influence, will
be offered at no cost.
The City of Mounds View will take the leadership rolls in the administration of the
program. The PGA Professional Staff at the Bridges Golf Course will performed the
instruction. The maximum ratio of 12/1 youth to each teaching professional will give
personalized attention to all participants. The golf clinics will support 24 youth. Each
participant will receive four forty-five minute lessons, range balls, rental golf clubs,
Bridges hot dog "Meal Deal", and transportation from the Mounds View Community
Center. The youth will have an opportunity to play nine holes of golf upon completion of
the session. The sessions will take place at The Bridges practice facility.
