CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE "MOUNDS VIEW FESTIVAL IN THE PARK"
AS THE LOCAL FESTIVAL TO RECEIVE CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU
GRANT MONIES FOR MARKETING AND PROMOTION OF THE EVENT
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View on June 11, 2001 entered into an
agreement with the Minneapolis Metro North Convention and Visitors Bureau to
promote events, meetings, and tourism in the City of Mounds View, and
WHEREAS, the Minneapolis Metro North CVB offers a marketing
partnership program with each member community whereby $2,000 is provided as a
grant each year to assist with marketing and promotion of a local festival, and
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View needs to designate the local festival
that will receive the CVB grant monies for 2003.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of
Mounds View designates the Mounds View Festival in the Park as the local festival that
will receive funds for marketing and promotion during the 2003 calendar year; and
finally that the City Council denotes the Mounds View Festival in the Park as the
designated recipient in future years, until such time as the City Council decides
otherwise.
