CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
Resolution 6080 Authorizing the Acceptance of a Grant and the Purchase of
Equipment for the Spring Lake Park/Blaine/Mounds View Fire Department and
Amending the 2003 General Fund Budget
WHEREAS, Federal and State Grants are available to purchase first responder
equipment for the Fire Department; and,
WHEREAS, Ramsey County is the local administrator and wishes to designate the
City of Mounds View and the recipient of the grant; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department has identified two pieces of equipment costing
$12,750; and
WHEREAS, purchase of the equipment will be recorded as additional capital outlay
expenditure in the Fire Department budget with an offsetting increase in Inter-governmental
revenues in the 2003 budget; and
. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds
View authorizes the Fire Department to apply to Ramsey County for first responder grants
and to order the associated equipment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is authorized to sign any necessary
grant documents and documents to convey final ownership of the equipment to the Fire
Department.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 2003 General Fund Budget is amended to
increase capital outlay in the Fire Department by $12,750 and Intergovernmental
Revenues by $12,750.
