STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT WITH TWIN CITY ROOFING FOR HILLVIEW PARK
SHELTER ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City established a roof management program for all municipal buildings, and park
facilities; and
WHEREAS, the roofing at the Hillview Park shelter is deteriorating and is in need of replacement;
and
WHEREAS, Public Works prepared contract documents in house for the repair work in accordance with
industry standards, and solicited and received 3 quotes as follows:

Low Twin City Roofing $7,960
2 Hulinsky Construction, Inc. $9,800
3 McPhillips Brothers Roofing Co. $12,220
WHEREAS, Twin City Roofing of Saint Paul, Minnesota submitted the lowest quote in the amount
of$9,800; and
WHEREAS, City staff recommend approving a construction contract with Twin City Roofing to
perform the Roof replacement work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey
County, Minnesota as follows:
1. The City hereby accepts the total combined quote proposal for $7,960 submitted by Twin City
Roofing of Saint Paul, Minnesota for the Hillview Park Shelter Roof Replacement Project (City
Project No. 2014-M06).
2. City Staff is authorized to prepare a construction contract agreement between the City of
Mounds View and Contractor for $7,960.
3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the
City, to execute and enter into a construction contract agreement with Twin City Roofing for said
project for said price.
4. Monies for the Project shall be funded by the Park Dedication Fund (451-4470-7050). A 10%
construction contingency of $800 is approved for minor work associated with Project unknowns.
