RESOLUTION NO. 6087
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING A SEASONAL PUBLIC WORKS POSITION IN THE SEWER DIVISION
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5546 requires that seasonal positions must be
approved by the Mounds View City Council; and
WHEREAS, Seasonal Employees benefit the City by providing labor services
that are relatively less expensive and are available during periods of greater labor; and
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View Public Works Department a does have a
need to hire seasonal employees; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is recommending that seasonal
position be approved for an estimated three periods not to extend past December 31,
2003; and
WHEREAS, the City Charter, Section 7.08 gives the City Council authority to
amend the budget by resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. A Seasonal Public Works Positions in the Sewer Division is approved -
This position would start on September 10, 2003 and terminate on a date
no later than December 31,2003.
2. This Seasonal Public Works Position will be filled by Jeffery Lundgren, a
returning seasonal workers with experience using the Vactor and
televising trailer.
3. Mr. Lundgren will be compensated at fate of $10.50/hr. and will work forty
(40) hours per week.
4. The funds for this position will be derived from the wastewater account in
the Enterprise Fund.
5. The Enterprise Fund of the 2003 Budget is amended to increase
appropriations by $4,620.00 for the wages of the Seasonal Public Works
Position.
