re-appoint Ken Ballenger as Civil Defense Director. 4 Ayes for

The Dog Catcher is still operating and orill do so until
replaced or re-appointed. He has submitted three proposals, This
will be discussed at the January 23rd meeting, The appointment of�
a Weed Inspector will also be taken up at the January 23rd meeting
as well as other appointments which have not already been made. T�ie
Attorney will contact prospective appointees and submit their agree-
ments to the Council by ldednesday� January 18th� 1961, This would
include a Village Planner, Ehgineer and Dugcatcher.
Trustee Christensen entered the meeting at this point,i8:45 P.tf.).
Iir. and Dirs; Blumhofer owners of the condemned property at
'7856 Long Lake Road appearec� before the Council, They stated that
they haven't found out hoe� much it wi11 cost to fix the place up
so they would 111ce to wait until spring for this matter. They were
handed e letter from the Building Inspector which stated� in part�
that the square footage of the building is short� it should bc not
Iess than iG8 feet. Ptayor Crane suggested that this matter be
postponed and referred to the Building 3ub-Committee, The Building
'lnspector and the Building Sub-Committee will inform the Blumhofers
bg� lettor of the results of this study.
6ITS. Peteraoa brought up the subject of dog licenses being
stolen. The Council has in the past and wiil again consider this
matCe: although there seems to be no solution. However� Trustee
Christensen feels that the situation would impra�re with a dogcatcher
on tho job.
Clork Blanchard brought to the attention of the Council two
claims for groceries which have been submitted by the Ciuil Defense.
Ken IIallen�er said the claim for �20.6'7 was to come under the mass
feeding stipulation when they went to Jordan. The clai�s were
returaod to h(r. Dallen�ar for correction and re-submission to the
Council.

League of Minnesota tiunicipalities entitled "Resolution of l�later
:,esource 6tudy Conmittee-Sub-Committee Concerning Proposed
�apansion of the iSinneapolis-3t,Pau1 Sanitary District". I�fotion by
.tayor Crane� seconded �y IIodges to adopt this Resolution. I�ir,
iCnutson said it is his understanding that the Resolution iaas not
zdopted by other Stunicipalities as set forth in the League Letter,
�iost of ther� added their own provisos, Trustee Christensen feels
that the Village of Plounds Vieir should spell out just what we feel
is fair and equitahle financing ot this system and also to enumerate
:�;�evci else we want, Attorney PReyers said that the Village should
add a proviso that if they do not come up vith something uithin a
reasonable time� hiounds 9iew vrill go ahead and find a solution of its
��:m, �..r, ?deyerG o!ill prepare an addition to this resolution and
�-•ing it to the next meeting. Tiayor Crane withdre�a his motion and
?rustee Hodges withdrew his second.

��ating that they are holding a meeting to discuss ctrainage in Ramgey

The Council requested that Attorney bieycrs makc an analysis of
