Call to Order The Mounds View Parks & Recreation Comr,:ission met in regular
session and c:=as called to order by Chairman Peterson a[
6:45 P.M.
Roll Ca11 Chairman Vern Peterson� Co�issioaers Wayne Burmeister�
Wayne Weflen� Gordon Fedor and Kip Lundquiet. Also present
were Doug Bryant� Director; Marcia de La Bruere� Program
Supervisor; and Jack Kirk, Senior Interr. from the University
of Minnesota.
Approval of Motion by Chairman Peterson snd Seconded by Cotmnission2n
Minutes Lundquist to approve the minutes of the Septembes 25� 1975
meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
Chairman`s Chairman Petex'son opened the meeting with a discussion of
Report Greenfield Park. Ae co�nented that, if possih?e� the Parks
and Recreation Department should try to open the rink at
Greenfield Park.
The Director pointed out that the park needed power and
water. He added that in the previous year's skating season
Greenfield was the Loweat a�tended rink and that Hillview
and Oakwood were only a shor*_ distance away. However� it
was nor_ed that every effo�rt c.�ould be made to get the rink
operable.
Next� Chairman Peterson co�uented ou the successful Halloween
Party held cn Oc[ober `L5. He co�mnented that the staff had
worked long hours setting up the "house�� and that the child-
ren ha�i responded very favorably. The Director of Parks and
Recreation also pointed out that MY. Peterson had also
donated a great deal of time and that this was a;oreciated.
,7odi Chairman PetersQn invited Jody--the Pinewood Building
Bromland Coordinator--to a[tend [i�e Comnission Meeting. Mrs. Bromland
spoke to Co�nissioners for the pisr.p�•�e of recruiting resi-
dents w'ho Lived ncar Finewood t� : a member of the newly
°inewood-Neighborhood Cormnunity Education Advisory Council.
She ex�lained that the development of thts council was paxt
of her rois as the building Coordinator. She added that the
"Council" woa:d supplement the Crnmnunity Education and Parks
and Recaeation Department activities with neighborhood activi-
ties� special needs, and programs. A diacussion ensued.

Subdivisions Motion by Ceaanissicnes Burmeister and seconded by
Coim¢issioner Fedor to accept a cash dedication to the park
fnnd in accordance wiSh Ordinance if42.07 for the following
subdivisions:
Gene Schouweiler
Robert Hansen
The motion passed unanimously.
Lambert The Director of Parks and Recreation reported thaG the bids
Hockey Rink were in for the Lambert Hockey Rink. He stated that just
lighting the hockey rink and not a multi-puzpose area for
skating, football, and soccer would be approximately a600.00
lesa. After same discussion it was agreed that lambert did
not lend itself as an adequate soccer-football facility
because of size and drainage.
Motion by Chairman Peterson and seconded by Crnunissioner
Fedor to Light only the hockey/pleasure skating rinks. The
motion passed unanimously.

Weflen to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
