CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chairman Wayne Burmeister at
6:45 p.m.
ROLL CALL Commissioners Present: Lloyd Scott, DonnaBowman, Frank Silvis ,

Wayne Weflen, Wayne Burmeister, Jerry Linke, Ed Letendre,
Marilynne Dennehy, and Cindy Wermager.

Staff Present: Director Anderson and Program Supervisor Saarion.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES Jerry Linke made a motion to approve the minutes. Donna Bowman
seconded the motion. Motion passed.

CHAIRMAN 'S REPORT Chairman Burmeister reported the resignation of Gordon Fedor.
Commissioner Fedor's term will be completed by Cindy Wermager.
COUNCILMEMBER 'S Councilmember Doty reported that the ,City Council has reviewed the
REPORT Park Ordinances and agrees in principle but as of yet has not
officially adopted the ordinances. The feedback of the Commission
will be considered in the final drafting of the Park Ordinances .
SILVER VIEW UPDATE Director Anderson led a tour of the Park and Recreation Commissioners
to the Silver View Park site for a first-hand view of the progress.

LAMBERT PARK Commissioner Scott suggested that NSP be called to request the
SHELTER BUILDING changing of the gas line at Lambert Park to accomodate the new

YOUTH ATHLETIC Discussion of the Youth Athletic League Policy report expressed
LEAGUE POLICY futuristic needs and interests for the direction of "play" for
the youth of the City. The Commission approved the proposed
"memorandum" in concept and directed staff to solicit input
from the volunteer coaches and report back at the November
meeting.
PARK ORDINANCE Chairperson Burmeister opened discussion of the Park Ordinance
CHAPTER 52

by the Parks and Recreation Department".
52. 13 to include: "except as authorized
by permit by the City Council . "
Chairman Burmeister moved approval with these additions of the
proposed Park Ordinances . Donna Bowman seconded the motion .
Motion passed unanimously.

Jerry Linke suggested that the Commission express concern to
the City Council for the opportunity for beer permits for special
athletic functions , such as softball tournaments.
