CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE STATE OF
MINNESOTA GRANT AGREEMENT FOR THE TREE INVENTORY GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has been offered a Tree Inventory
Grant contract with the State of Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, a tree inventory of public land would provide a solid basis for
management and financial decisions; and
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has been offered a grant contract
with the State of Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the Grant Contract with the State is in the amount of $5,000;
and
WHEREAS, matching funds are to be provided by the City; and
.
WHEREAS, said funds have been included in the 2004 Forestry Fund of
the General Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. The Tree Inventory Grant with the State of Minnesota is hereby
approved.
2. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to execute
said Tree Inventory Grant.
3. That said approval and authorization to execute is contingent upon the
approval of the City's Legal Counsel to do such.
