RESOLUTION NO. 6116
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
WATER TOWER REHABILITATION PROJECT - CHANGE ORDER NO.1
AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION OF A COMPLETE FINISH COAT TO THE
BOTTOM TWO COURSES OF THE TANK COLUMN
WHEREAS, On February 10, 2003, Council approved Resolution
No. 5942 awarding the construction contract to Champion Coatings, Incorporated
for the Water Tower Rehabilitation Project; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to apply a complete finish coat to
the bottom two courses of the tank column; and
WHEREAS, the cost of a complete finish coat to the bottom two
courses of the tank column is estimated to be $2,500; and
WHEREAS, the funds to finance this will be derived from the
Enterprise Fund, Water Infrastructure and Equipment Maintenance Department,
Repairs Account (Account 700-4823-5150).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. That Change Order No.1 for the Water Tower Rehabilitation Project is
hereby approved.
2. That said Change Order is for the application of a complete finish coat
to the bottom two courses of the tank column not included in the
original bid.
3. That the Enterprise Fund, Water Infrastructure and Equipment
Maintenance Department, Repairs Account (Account 700-4823-5150)
is authorized as the funding source with any overruns to be derived
from the contingency account of the same department.
