RESOLUTION NO. 6141
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE DISPOSAL OF THREE PIECES OF KITCHEN EQUIPMENT
IN THE MOUNDS VIEW COMMUNITY CENTER
WHEREAS, the City is the owner of the Mounds View Community Center
located at 5394 Edgewood Drive in the City of Mounds View, in which is located
a kitchen; and
WHEREAS, Creative Kids Child Care Center and The Mermaid utilize the
kitchen for food preparation and setup for meals; and
WHEREAS, the City currently owns two Franklin stack ovens that are over
30 years old and have door and structural damage; and
WHEREAS, the City currently owns a fryer that is over 30 years old and
appears to have a tank leak; and
WHEREAS, the City has obtained an evaluation on November 17, 2003 of
these pieces of kitchen equipment from Miles Coyle of Coyle's Appliance
Service, Inc. from Minneapolis, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the evaluation indicates that parts would be difficult to find
and that the equipment would not be cost effective to repair; and;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City
Council does hereby approve the removal and disposal of three pieces of kitchen
equipment-the two Franklin stack ovens and the fryer.
Adopted this 24th day of November 2003.
