RESOLUTION NO. 6146
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RECOGNIZING CHANGING THE NAME OF THE PREMISE PERMIT HOLDER
FOR CHARITABLE GAMBLING AT JAKE'S SPORTS CAFE IN THE CITY OF
MOUNDS VIEW TO THE TWIN CITIES NORTH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Gambling Control Board requires local units of
government to pass a resolution specifically approving or denying Premise
Permit Applications; and
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View approved on February 11, 2002 a
resolution to allow for the New Brighton-Mounds View Chamber of Commerce to
conduct charitable gambling at Jake's in the City of Mounds View; and
WHEREAS, the New Brighton-Mounds View Chamber of Commerce and
the Southern Anoka County Chamber of Commerce officially merged on July 23,
2002, and continued the charitable gambling operations at both Jake's locations;
and
WHEREAS, the newly merged Chamber officially changed its name from
the New Brighton-Mounds View Chamber of Commerce to the Twin Cities North
Chamber of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, the Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce is in
compliance with all charitable gambling requirements of Ordinance 691, which
became effective March 9, 2002; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City
Council does hereby recognize the changing of the name of the premise permit
holder for charitable gambling at Jake's Sports Cafe in the City of Mounds View
to the Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce.
Adopted this 8th day of December 2003.
