CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING MONITOR PANEL REPLACEMENT AND CONTRACT
FOR ONGOING SPRINKLER MONITORING WITH OLSEN FIRE PROTECTION
WHEREAS, the City sprinkler monitoring system is not operable; and
WHEREAS, an operational sprinkler monitoring system is necessary to minimize
property damage in the event of a water-flow activation; and,
WHEREAS, it is a fire code requirement to have the system monitored.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does
hereby authorize Olsen Fire protection to install the Silent Knight 5104 Communicator for
$750 and to provide ongoing sprinkler monitoring services for a three year period at a rate
of $20 per month.
Adopted this 8th day of September 2003.

CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPOINTING MICHAEL KAMPA TO THE
SERGEANT
WHEREAS, Five applications were received for the position of Police Sergeant,
and went through a scored promotion process approved the Mounds View Police Civil
Service Commission, and;
WHEREAS, the police civil service commission certified the top three candidates.
The top candidate is Michael Kampa and;
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has met with Mr. Kampa and recommends he be
appointed to the position of Police Sergeant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council
does hereby appoint Michael Kampa to the position of Police Sergeant at the step 3 rate
of pay as stipulated in the Sergeants Labor Contract for the position, with progression to
step 4 after 6 months, and step 5 after 18 months from his appointment date
