CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR
CDBG FUNDING THROUGH RAMSEY COUNTY
WHEREAS, Moundsview Manufactured Home Park is a 153-unit manufactured
home community in the City of Mounds View with only one access drive to serve the
community; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View authorized a feasibility study be performed to
assess the feasibility of constructing a second access to the manufactured home
community in an effort to improve the health, safety and welfare of the park's 383
residents; and,
WHEREAS, the feasibility study accepted by the City Council determined that
constructing a second access was in fact feasible and outlined the costs associated with
such a project; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council directed staff to explore all avenues of funding for the
project, including Community Development Block Grant funding through Ramsey County;
and,
WHEREAS, staff has produced an application to Ramsey County requesting
$30,000 in CDBG dollars to assist in the implementation and construction of the second
access to the Moundsview Manufactured Home park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Mounds
View does hereby authorize, support and approve the submission of the grant application
to Ramsey County requesting funding through the CDBG program.
