RESOLUTION NO. 6238
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
PROCLAIMING MAY 18, 2004 AS "ARBOR DAY"
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has been recognized for twenty-two
consecutive years as a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation for its
efforts in urban forestry; and
WHEREAS, trees in our City beautify our surroundings, shade our parks and
residences, increase property values, and enhance the economic vitality of business
areas, and
WHEREAS, neighbors and concerned citizens will be planting trees at Groveland
Park; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that May 18, 2004, be declared Arbor
Day in Mounds View and public-spirited and foresighted citizens be called upon to
assist in the planting of trees now for the use and enjoyment of present and future
generations.
