CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE REVISED JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF SPRING LAKE
PARK FOR THE LAKESIDE LIONS PARK PARKING LOT BIDS ALTERNATE AND
AUTHORIZATION OF EXECUTION
WHEREAS, On March 22, 2004, the City Council approved Resolution No. 6201 authorizing
the execution of a Joint Powers Agreements (JPA) with the City of Spring Lake Park for work
proposed to be completed on Hillview Road associated with the 2003 Street Improvement Project;
and
WHEREAS, On May 24, 2004 Staff will present to the City Council the awarding of the
contract for the 2003 Street Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, this project was bid with a bid alternate number two for the reconstruction of the
Lakeside Lions Park Parking Lot; and
WHEREAS, in order to allow awarding reconstruction of the Lakeside Lions Park Parking Lot
bid alternate number two, the original Joint Powers Agreement approved on March 22, 2004 with the
City of Spring Lake Park will need to be revised to allow for the installation of the parking lot at the
Lakeside Lions Park should the City Council wish to include it in this project; and
WHEREAS, the City's legal counsel has recently revised the Joint Powers Agreement
previously approved on March 22, 2004 to include the parking lot at the Lakeside Lions Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mounds View City Council of the City of,
Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1 . That the revised joint powers agreement with the City of Spring Lake Park for the
reconstruction of the Lakeside Lions Park Parking Lot, bid alternate number two, is
hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to execute said
agreement.
3. That execution of said agreement is contingent upon the Spring Lake Park City
Council approving said agreement.
4. That execution of said agreement is contingent upon the Mounds View City Council
awarding bid alternate number two of the 2003 Street Improvement Project.
