RESOLUTION NO. 6243
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SPRING LAKE
PARK AND THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES FOR THE
LAKESIDE LIONS PARK FISHING PIER AND AUTHORIZATION OF EXECUTION
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has approved
a grant for a fishing pier from the Cities of Spring Lake Park and Mounds View in the
amount of $12,200; and,
WHEREAS, both cities have agreed to raise funds for the remaining cost of the
fishing pier in the amount of $10,000; and
WHEREAS, the grant requires the Cities of Mounds View and Spring Lake Park to
enter into a Public Fishing Pier Cooperative Agreement with the State of Minnesota; and,
WHEREAS, this agreement outlines the responsibilities of all parties for installation,
maintenance, funding, etc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mounds View City Council of the
City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota, as follows:
1 . That the Cooperative Agreement between the City of Spring Lake Park and
the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for the Lakeside Lions Park
Fishing is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to execute said
agreement.
3. The execution of said agreement is contingent upon the Spring Lake Park
City Council and the Mounds View Legal Counsel approving said agreement.
