RESOLUTION NO. 6249
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
ACCEPTANCE AND FINAL PAYMENT FOR THE WATER TOWER
REHABILITATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, Champion Coatings, Inc. has requested the City's acceptance and
final payment for the Water Tower Rehabilitation Project; and
WHEREAS, all work has been satisfactorily completed in accordance with the
plans and specifications; and
WHEREAS, the original contract amount was $52,100.00, and the final contract
cost is $61,100.00, with the $9,000.00 increase attributed to additional caulking that was
required; and
WHEREAS, one change order was approved in the amount of $2,500.00 for
additional painting that was necessary on the bottom two courses of the fluted column;
and
WHEREAS, the final contract amount including the one change order is
$63,600.00, and the final payment amount is $3,180.00.
WHEREAS, the 2003 Enterprise Fund, Water Infrastructure & Equipment
Maintenance Department, Utility Repairs Account (Account 700-4823-5150) has been
identified s the funding source for eh Water Tower Rehabilitation Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. The Water Rehabilitation Project is hereby accepted.
2. The issuance of final payment to Champion Coatings, Inc. in the amount
of $3,180.00 is hereby authorized.
3. Funds for the final payment are to be derived from the 2003 Enterprise
Fund, Water Infrastructure & Equipment Maintenance Department, Utility
Repairs Account (Account 700-4823-5150).
