RESOLUTION NO. 6268 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA AWARDING THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE 2003 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6201 adopted by the City Council on March 22, 2004 sealed bids were received and tabulated on April 22, 2004, at 10 a.m. for the 2003 Street Improvement Project; and WHEREAS, the low responsive bid was received from Hardrives Incorporated with a Base Bid of $1,574,804.21, and a Bid Alternate NO.1 of $40,234.05 for the Groveland Road Sidewalk, and a Bid Alternate NO.2 of $99,965.25 for the Lakeside Lions Park Parking Lot Reconstruction. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. That the Base Bid of Hardrives, Incorporated in the amount of $1,574,804.21 for the 2003 Street Improvement Project is the lowest responsive bid. 2. That a contract to perform said work is awarded to Hardrives, Incorporated and that the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder. 3. The Public Works Department is authorized and directed to return the deposit made for said bids, except the deposit of the successful bidder, which shall be retained until a contract has been signed. OPTIONAL: BID ALTERNATE NO.1 - CITY COUNCIL TO ELECT AWARD 4. That a contract to perform Bid Alternate NO.1 in the amount of $40,234.05 for the Groveland Road Sidewalk is hereby awarded to Hardrives, Incorporated that the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder. OPTIONAL: BID ALTERNATE NO.2 - CITY COUNCIL TO ELECT AWARD 5. That a contract to perform Bid Alternate NO.2 in the amount of $99,965.25 for the Lakeside Lions Park Parking Lot Reconstruction is hereby awarded to Hardrives, Incorporated and that the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder. . . .
