RESOLUTION 8358 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT WITH BERGERSON CASWELL, INC. FOR 2015 <br /> MUNICIPAL WELL NO. 6 REHABILITATION PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS, the City established a maintenance program whereby municipal wells, pumps, <br /> and motors would be rehabilitated on a seven-year cycle; and <br /> WHEREAS, Municipal Well No. 6 was last rehabilitated in June 2008 and is scheduled for <br /> rehabilitation in 2015; and <br /> WHEREAS, Public Works prepared contract documents in house for the rehabilitation work in <br /> accordance with industry standards, and solicited and received five quotes as follows <br /> Rank Contractor Quote <br /> Low Bergerson Caswell, Inc. $32,190 <br /> 2 Keys Well Drilling Company $34,815 <br /> 3 Thein Well Company, Inc. $39,787 <br /> 4 E.H. Renner& Sons, Inc. $43,269 <br /> 5 Mark J Traut Wells, Inc. $44,025 <br /> WHEREAS, Bergerson Caswell Inc. of Maple Plain, Minnesota submitted the lowest total <br /> combined quote in the amount of$32,190; and <br /> WHEREAS, City staff recommend approving a construction contract with Bergerson Caswell <br /> Inc. to perform the rehabilitation work. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br /> Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. The City hereby accepts the total combined quote proposal for $32,190 submitted by <br /> Bergerson Caswell Inc. of Maple Plain, Minnesota for the 2015 Municipal Well No. 6 <br /> Rehabilitation Project(City Project No. 2014-007). <br /> 2. City Staff is authorized to prepare a construction contract agreement between the City of <br /> Mounds View and Bergerson Caswell Inc for$32,190. <br /> 3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of <br /> the City, to execute and enter into a construction contract agreement with Bergerson <br /> Caswell Inc for said project for said price. <br /> 4.
