RESOLUTION 6316
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A NEW STAFF CAR AND AMENDING
THE BUDGET
WHEREAS, the City of Mound s View has a staff car which is in need of
replacement due to the excessive cost of repairs compared to the age and value
of the car; and
WHEREAS, there is a State of Minnesota contract from which the City can
buy a Chevrolet Cavalier for under $11,000; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council authorizes
the staff to purchase a 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier from Hinckley Chevrolet for $10,
099 plus sales tax and title fees for a total not to exceed $11,000.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the staff is authorized to dispose of a
1992 Mercury Topaz at the next available public auction.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the 2004 Budget is amended to
provide an additional transfer from the Vehicle and Equipment Fund to the
General Fund in the amount of $11 ,000 and that the Community Development
Department Budget is amended to include $11,000 for a vehicle purchase.
