CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLl1TION AUTHORIZING THE MOUNDS VIE\V POLICE DEP ARTME~T TO
PARTNER \VITH THE RAMSEY COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT IN
PURSUING A GRANT L~DER THE SAFE AND SOBER PROGRAM
\VHEREAS, the Department of Public Safety is seeking proposals from law enforcement
agencies to conduct highly publicized, overtime enforcement projects addressing traffic safety
issues; and,
\VHEREAS, the Mounds View. Police Department has approached the White Bear Lake
Police Depm1ment inviting them to participate in this grant proposaL and,
\VHEREAS, if successful in receiving an avvard, Mounds View will act as the lead
agency, and all personnel costs incuned through safe and sober enforcement efforts \vill be
reimbursed to the City of Mounds View; and,
\VHEREAS, all allocated manpower resources will be on a volunteer basis, and will be
on an officers scheduled time off.
NO\V, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does
hereby authorize staff to partner with the White Bear Lake Police Department in applying for a grant
under the Safe and Sober grant program.
