• RESOLUTION NO. 8335 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> RAMSEY COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A RENEWAL OF THE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br /> WITH THE RAMSEY COUNTY GIS USERS GROUP <br /> WHEREAS, interested cities formed the Ramsey County GIS Users Group in 1995 <br /> to encourage organizations to cooperate through the sharing of resources, data and ideas, <br /> primarily for the establishment and maintenance of geographic information systems (GIS) <br /> within local units of government; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Mounds View first entered into a joint powers agreement with the users <br /> group in 1997 renewing its participation in 2000, 2003, 2009 and again in 2011; and, <br /> WHEREAS, continued participation with the Ramsey County GIS User Group will <br /> afford the City access to critical County base data and city parcel data for mapping and <br /> informational purposes; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the County's data offers a base that the City can add layers to <br /> 0 comprising, for example, comprehensive plan designations, zoning overlays, land use <br /> districts, street systems, utility lines and infrastructure, pavement management rankings, <br /> code enforcement activity, permits and calls for service. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, in order to continue the City's ability to <br /> create, manage and manipulate maps and data, the Mounds View City Council does <br /> hereby authorize the execution of the attached Joint Powers Agreement valid through <br /> December 31, 2017. <br /> Adopted this 8th day of December, 2014 <br /> . •e Flaherty, - • <br /> ATTEST: i <br /> JO/Ma it'U'ffirt) <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (seal) <br /> • <br />
