HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 8336 RESOLUTION NO. 8336 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2015 SCORE RECYCLING GRANT REQUEST TO RAMSEY COUNTY WHEREAS, Ramsey County is accepting applications for use of SCORE funds to improve recycling participation by the public; and; WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is eligible to apply for a grant to provide administrative and promotional activities intended to improve recycling participation among city residents through education, awareness and incentives; and; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Mounds View has determined that this is an appropriate use of city resources and that increasing recycling participation benefits the public health, safety, and welfare of the community as a whole. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds View approves the attached application for 2015 SCORE funding in the amount of$31,877. Please describe how progress toward these goals will be measured and evaluated. These goals and strategies will be used in the development of the 2015 Recycling Performance Work Plan. 2. Attach a copy of your 2015 municipal budget for all recycling activities,including all funding sources. If your governing body has not adopted the 2015 budget,attach the most current draft budget. If the budget does not list all expenditures and revenues specific to recycling,add a supplemental table that identifies this information. PUBLIC ENTITIES LAW COMPLIANCE 5. Attach a copy of the disclosure from your hauler(s),or a copy of the relevant portion of any contracts with haulers,that specifies the facility at which waste collected from municipal facilities is deposited. A hauler's generic waste disclosure form that lists multiple facilities where waste may be delivered is not acceptable. RESOLUTION 6. Attach a resolution from your governing body requesting the SCORE funding allocation,or a certified copy of the official proceedings at which the request was approved. SCORE grants agreements cannot be issued without such an attachment.
