CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 1100 OF THE
MOUNDS VIEW CITY CODE ABOUT RENEWABLE ENERGY
The City of Mounds View ordains:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Mounds View hereby amends Title 1100,
Chapter 1106.03 of the Mounds View City Code pertaining to "Renewable Energy
Sources" by deleting the stricken language and adding the underlined text as follows:
CHAPTER 1106 R-1, SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT
1106.03: ACCESSORY USES: The following are permitted accessory uses in an R-1
District: (1988 Code §40.10)
Subd. 8. Solar Energy Sources and Systems and Geothermal Energy Sources and
Systems as regulated by Chapter 1128 of this Title.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Mounds View hereby amends Title 1100
Chapter 1112.03 of the Mounds View City Code pertaining to "Renewable Energy
Sources" by deleting the stricken language and adding the underlined text as follows:
CHAPTER 1112 B-1, NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT
1112.03: ACCESSORY USES: The following are permitted accessory uses in a B-1
District:
Subd. 7. Solar Energy Sources and Systems and Geothermal Energy Sources and
Systems as regulated by Chapter 1128 of this Title.
1112.04: CONDITIONAL USES: The following are conditional uses in a B-1 District
(requiring a conditional use permit based upon procedures set forth in and regulated by
Section 1125.01 of this Title.)
Subd. 4. Solar energy and wind generator systems and solar and wind generator
structures.

SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Mounds View hereby amends Title 1100
Chapter 1113.04 of the Mounds View City Code pertaining to "Renewable Energy
Sources" by deleting the stricken language and adding the underlined text as follows:
CHAPTER 1113 B-2, LIMITED BUSINESS DISTRICT
1113.04: CONDITIONAL USES: The following are conditional uses in a B-2 District
(requiring a conditional use permit based upon procedures set forth in and regulated by
Section 1125.01 of this Title):

SECTION 4. The City Council of the City of Mounds View hereby amends Title 1100
Chapter 1114.04 of the Mounds View City Code pertaining to "Renewable Energy
Sources" by deleting the stricken language and adding the underlined text as follows:
CHAPTER 1114 B-3, HIGHWAY BUSINESS DISTRICT
1114.04: CONDITIONAL USES: The following are conditional uses in a B-3 District
(requiring a conditional use permit based upon procedures set forth in and regulated by
Section 1125.01 of this Title):
Subd. 7. Solar energy and wind gencrater systems and solar and wind generator
structures.
SECTION 5. The City Council of the City of Mounds View hereby amends Title 1100
Chapter 1115.04 of the Mounds View City Code pertaining to "Renewable Energy
Sources" by deleting the stricken language and adding the underlined text as follows:
CHAPTER 1115 B-4, REGIONAL BUSINESS
1115.04: CONDITIONAL USES: The following are conditional uses in a B-4 District
(requiring a conditional use permit based upon procedures set forth in and regulated by
Section 1125.01 of this Title):

SECTION 6. In accordance with Section 3.07 of the City Charter, City staff shall have the
following summary printed in the official City newspaper in lieu of the complete ordinance:
On January 26, 2015, the City Council adopted Ordinance 895 that amends Chapter 1116
of the Mounds View Municipal Code. These amendments will allow additional uses in the
Industrial Zoning District. A printed copy of the ordinance is available for inspection during
regular business hours at Mounds View City Hall and is available on line at the City's web
site located at www.ci.mounds-view.mn.us.
SECTION 7. This ordinance takes effect 30 days after its publication in the official City
newspaper.
INTRODUCTION AND FIRST READING by the Mounds View City Council this 12th day
of January, 2015.
PUBLIC HEARING, SECOND READING AND ADOPTION by the Mounds View City
Council this 26th day of January, 2015.
