CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE BIDDING DOCUMENTS AND AUTHORIZING
THE ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS FOR THE 2015 SEAL COAT
PROJECT FOR AREAS A, B, & C
WHEREAS, the City has a pavement management program that includes city
streets, trails and parking lots; and
WHEREAS, project areas A, B, and C are due for routine maintenance which
would entail a bituminous seal coat for 2015; and
WHEREAS, Public Works has prepared bidding documents in house for use in
public bidding to perform a bituminous seal coat for areas A, B, and C.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds
View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. The bidding documents prepared by Public Works for construction of the 2015 Seal
Coat Project for Areas A, B, & C (City Project No. 2015-001) are hereby approved.
2. City staff is hereby directed to cause to be published in the Sun-Focus newspaper
and a regional trade publication, at least 21 days before the last day to submit bids, a
notice to bidders for the implementation of said project as required by law.
3. The time and date for receipt of public bids for said project is hereby established as
10:00 a.m., Tuesday April 7, 2015, at which time they will be publicly opened and
read aloud in the Council Chambers of the Mounds View City Hall.
4. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all
appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this Resolution.
5. The Mayor and City Administrator, staff and consultants are hereby authorized and
directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in I
order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
