CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
ACCEPTANCE OF THE SPRING CREEK WETLAND BASIN REPORT
AND AUTHORIZATION TO PREPARE A COMPREHENSIVE CITYWIDE WETLAND
INVENTORY TO REPLACE EXISTING OUTDATED MAPS
WHEREAS, the City Council on July 26, 2004 authorized the consulting
firm Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc., to conduct a wetland delineation and hydrology
analysis of the Spring Creek Basin; and,
WHEREAS, Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. has satisfactorily completed
the wetland delineation and hydrology analysis of the Spring Creek Basin consistent
with objectives identified in the firm's proposal; and,
WHEREAS, the location of the newly delineated wetlands within the Spring
Creek Basin differ substantially from the historical boundaries represented on the City's
official Wetland Zoning Map; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the value and importance of
maintaining current and accurate official Wetland Zoning Maps; and,
. WHEREAS, Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. has submitted a proposal to field
verify and digitally update the City's official Wetland Zoning Maps at an estimated cost of
$2,500.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Mounds View accepts the Spring Creek Wetland Basin Delineation and Hydrology Analysis
prepared by Short Elliott Hendrickson and authorizes that the official Wetland Zoning Map
be revised to reflect the new delineation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Mounds View authorizes the consulting firm of Short Elliott Hendrickson to field
verify and digitally update the balance of the City's Wetland Zoning Maps at an estimated
cost of $2,500.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the project costs shall
be charged to the Stormwater Fund.
