RESOLUTION NO. 6383
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LETTER
AGREEMENT WITH TKDA FOR THE GROVELAND PARK BUILDING
REPLACEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, on May 10, 20004 the City Council approved Resolution No.
6203 which authorized the preparation of a site plan, construction plans,
specifications, and consultant selection for the Groveland Park Building
Replacement Project; and
WHEREAS, in addition, the City Council authorized "the execution of a
letter of agreement with TKDA for the preparation of the site plans, construction
plans, specifications, and any other planning phase aspects of this project"; and
WHEREAS, on June 21, 2004, the City's engineering firm of TKDA
submitted a Letter of Agreement with a list of the scope of work to be provided;
and
WHEREAS, on June 28,2004, Staff presented Resolution No. 6292
approving and authorizing the execution of a Letter of Agreement with TKDA for
the Groveland Park Building Replacement Project at an estimated cost of
$19,600; and
WHEREAS, on July 12, 2004, the City Council approved Resolution No.
6300 rescinding Resolution No. 6203 and authorizing the preparation of a
Request For Proposal (RFP) for work associated with the preparation of a site
plan, construction plans, and specifications for the Groveland Park Building
Replacement Project; and
WHEREAS, on June 28,2004, Staff presented Resolution No. 6292
approving and authorizing the execution of a Letter of Agreement with TKDA for
the Groveland Park Building Replacement Project at an estimated cost of
$19,600; and
WHEREAS, on August 23,2004, the City Council approved Resolution
6333 Authorizing the Publication of a Request For Proposal (RFP) for Work
Associated with the Preparation of a Site Plan, Construction Plans, and
Specifications for the Groveland Park Building Replacement Project; and
WHEREAS, the City received three responses for the request for; and
WHEREAS, the firm of TKDA submitted the lowest responsive proposal of
$19,600.00 to perform the Groveland Park Building Replacement Project; and

WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commissioners recommended that
the process for replacing the Groveland building begin in 2004 with an estimated
cost of $20,000 to perform the site plan, constructions plans, and specifications;
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of $19,600 for the site plan, constructions
plans, and specifications will be derived from the Park Dedication Fund of the
2004 budget (Account No. 251-4470-3030).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. The execution of a letter of agreement with TKDA in the estimated
amount of $19,600 for the preparation of the site plans,
construction plans, specifications, and any other planning phase
aspects of this project is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to execute
said Letter Agreement.
3.
The estimated cost of $19,600 for the planning phase of this project
is to be derived from 2004 budget (Account No. 251-4470-3030)
Park Dedication Fund for professional services associated with
designing the Groveland Park Building.
