RESOLUTION NO. 6387
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE CONTRACT AWARD FOR THE YEARS 2005, 2006 and
2007 FOR RESIDENTIAL WATER SERVICE REPAIRS
WHEREAS, the City collects $4.00 on each quarterly utility bill from single
family properties, including duplexes, townhouses and condominiums; and
WHEREAS, the City annually budgets and receives bids for residential
water service repairs; and
WHEREAS, the City has between 7 and 10 water service repairs a year;
and
WHEREAS, the current Water Service Repair contract will expire
December 31, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Staff advertised for bids for a contract for 2005, 2006 and
2007; and

WHEREAS, the bid opening was October 28, 2004 at 10am and a total of
three (3) bids were opened and read aloud; and
WHEREAS, the low bidder was Grant Utilities in the yearly - per
residential water service repair or replacement amount of:
2005 $1,667.83/repair
2006 $1,755.39 /repair
2007 $1 ,870.98/repair; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City
Council does hereby approve a contract award to Grant Utilities for 2005, 2006,
and 2007, to repair individual residential water services as necessary in the City
of Mounds View.
