CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE HIRE OF BRIAN ERICKSON TO THE
PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR POSITION
WHEREAS, upon direction from the Mounds View City Council, the Public Works
Director position was advertised; and
WHEREAS, thirteen (13) applications were received for the position and five (5)
were chosen for interview; and
WHEREAS, Brian Erickson's skills and experience were determined to most closely
match the duties and responsibilities as outlined in the job description; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Erickson would start at Step 2 of the Pay Scale at$44.88/hour;with
an increase to Step 3 of the salary range (currently $47.52/hour) after one year of
employment; and
WHEREAS, all step wage increases are subject to satisfactory performance
evaluations; and
WHEREAS, references and background checks on Mr. Erickson are complete and
satisfactory; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Erickson would begin employment on or about June 1, 2015.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council
appoints Brian Erickson to the position of Public Works Director in the Public Works
Department with employment to commence on or about June 1, 2015.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby approve the hire of
Brian Erickson to the full-time, non-union position of Public Works Director at Step 2 of the
pay scale (currently $44.88/hour).
