STATE OF MINNESOTA
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is responsible for overseeing the
operation of the sanitary sewer system, and;
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is responsible for overseeing the
operation of two lift stations located at Ardan Avenue and Groveland Road and Bronson
Drive and Quincy Street, and;
WHEREAS, the increasing sand has caused abnormal wear on the impellors of
the pumps at the Bronson Lift Station which was refurbished in 1991, and;
WHEREAS, this abnormal wear has increased the amount of time and energy
needed to pump the lift station down, and;
WHEREAS, Public Works Staff has received (2) two quotes from vendors to
replace the pumps, including installation and startup. After reviewing the quotes and
researching the models Staff has selected the Flyght model NP462-4 pump which is
also the same pumps to be installed at the Groveland Lift Station.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1) Approves the purchase of (2) two Flyght Pumps model NP462-4 for
$5,871.00 each (not including freight) for a total of $12,666.00 from
Electric Pump 201 4th Avenue South West New Prague, MN 56071.
2) Approves the installation and startup of the pumps by Electric Pump at
$943.90 from account 730-4823-5130.
3) $12,666.00 will be funded from the 2015 adopted budget, account 730-
4823-7050 for the pumps.
4) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed
to execute all appropriate documents to effectuate the actions
contemplated by this resolution.
5) The Mayor and City Administrator, staff and consultants are hereby
authorized and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions
necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this
Resolution.
