APPROVING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT WITH ROSENQUIST CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR THE
2015 REROOFING OF WELL HOUSE NO. 2 AND THE BOOSTER STATION
WHEREAS, the City established a roof management program for all municipal buildings, and park
facilities; and
WHEREAS, the roofing at Municipal Well No. 2 and the Booster Station is scheduled for
replacement; and
WHEREAS, Public Works worked with Inspec to prepare contract documents for the roof replacement
work in accordance with industry standards, and solicited and received 2 quotes as follows:

Low Rosenquist Construction, Inc. $71,960
2 McPhillips Brothers Roofing $78,000
WHEREAS, Rosenquist Construction from Minneapolis, Minnesota submitted the lowest quote in
the amount of$71,960; and
WHEREAS, City staff recommend approving a construction contract with Rosenquist Construction
to perform the roof replacement work which is to include replacement of the drip edge at the Reservoir.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey
County, Minnesota as follows:
1. The City hereby accepts the quote proposal for $71,960 submitted by Rosenquist Construction,
Inc. of Minneapolis, Minnesota for the 2015 Reroofing of Well No. 2 and Booster Station (City
Project No. 2013-004).
2. City Staff is authorized to prepare a construction contract agreement between the City of
Mounds View and Rosenquist Construction, Inc. for $71,960.
3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the
City, to execute and enter into a construction contract agreement.
4. Inspec is authorized to perform construction inspection for the project for an estimated fee of
$4,500.
5. Monies for the Project shall be funded by the Water Enterprise Fund (480-4823-7050). A 5%
construction contingency of $3,598 is approved for minor work associated with Project
unknowns and any additional damage that has occurred since the 2010 survey.
