STATE OF MINNESOTA
AUTHORIZING PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING DESIGN AND PREPARATION OF
BIDDING DOCUMENTS FOR CSAH 10 TRAIL SEGMENTS 6 & 11
WHEREAS, The City of Mounds View developed the County Road 10 Corridor
Improvement Program. The Corridor Improvement Program has multiple goals: to
revitalize the corridor to create a sense of space and identity within the community and
to improve the safety and operation of traffic and pedestrian activities along County
Road 10.
WHEREAS, Engineering staff recommends continuing the CSAH 10 Corridor
Revitalization Program with the installation of trail Segments 6 & 11; and
WHEREAS, monies have been budgeted in 2015 under the TIF Fund (420-4650-
7050) for this project; and
WHEREAS, fee proposals were solicited from three qualified consulting firms for
performing professional engineering services for the project, and engineering staff
recommends Bolton & Menk to be selected for performing said services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. Bolton & Menk is authorized to perform engineering design services and prepare
bidding documents for CSAH 10 Trail Segments 6 & 11. Compensation will be on
an hourly basis plus reimbursable expenses with an estimated maximum fee of
$122,332.
2. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute
and enter into a professional services agreement with Bolton & Menk for said
services at said price.
3. The Mayor and City Administrator, staff and consultants are hereby authorized and
directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in
order to accomplish the intent of this resolution.
