CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2002 COMMUNITY FOREST HEALTH-OAK WILT
GRANT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota is accepting applications for participation in the
Community Forest Health-Oak Wilt Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is eligible to apply for a grant to pay up to
50% of the cost of removal of trees with oak wilt disease on private or public property; and
WHEREAS, private property owners will be responsible for the matching payments
for trees removed from their property; and
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View will be responsible for the matching
payments for trees removed from public property and such costs are already included in
the 2002 City Budget; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Mounds View has determined that this
is an appropriate use of city resources and that removal of trees with oak wilt disease
benefits the community as a whole.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds
View approve the application for 2002 Community Forest Health-Oak Wilt Grant
Agreement (attachment) and authorize acceptance of any allocated funding.
