STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO DON PETERSON
FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW AS
INTERIM PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR
WHEREAS, after the resignation of former Public Works Director Nick DeBar, the
City Council appointed Public Works Supervisor Don Peterson to be the Interim Public
Works Director, effective December 20, 2014; and,
WHEREAS, Don Peterson has served capably and commendably during his
term as interim director, ensuring that a multitude of projects progressed according to
plan and schedule; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Peterson led the department over the course of six months
without interruption of service delivery, coordinating the activities of operation and
maintenance employees, administrative staff and engineering functions; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Peterson demonstrated significant initiative by coordinating the
recently approved Energy Savings Partnership (ESP) program; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Peterson has earned significant gratitude and appreciation for
serving in the capacity of interim public works director and for effectively representing
the City of Mounds View in all respects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council
does hereby extend its most sincere appreciation and recognition to Public Works
Supervisor Don Peterson for his commendable service to the department, to the City
Council and to the Mounds View Community.
