RESOLUTION NO. 5720
ESTABLISHING A CALENDAR FOR THE PREPARATION AND ADOPTION OF THE
2003 BUDGET AND LONG TERM FINANCIAL PLAN
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
County of Ramsey
State of Minnesota
WHEREAS, the City's Charter and Code as well as State Statutes set forth various
requirements for considering and adopting the City's budget; and
WHEREAS, Section 7.04 of the City Charter requires the Clerk-Administrator to submit to
the City Council a budget calendar to be established by resolution.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View
that the following budget and long tern financial plan calendar is hereby adopted:
July 18, 2002 Summary of operating budget requests delivered to City Council.
August 5,2002 City Council reviews operating budget at work session.
Sept. 3, 2002 City Council reviews utility rate study at work session.
Sept. 9, 2002 City Council adopts preliminary 2003 property tax levy and sets date
for the Truth in Taxation Public Hearing.
City Council reviews long term financial plan at work session.
City Council adopts utility rates for 2003.
Truth in Taxation Public Hearing.
Continuation Hearing and adoption of 2003 budget and tax levy.
Public Hearing for ordinance to adopt long-term financial plan.
