RESOLUTION NO. 8419 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RECOGNITION OF DANIEL NIEDFELDT-THOMAS ON <br /> ATTAINING THE RANK OF EAGLE SCOUT <br /> WHEREAS, Daniel Niedfeldt-Thomas is a member of Boy Scout Troop 267 and <br /> until recently, was a resident of the City of Mounds View; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Daniel has performed many hours of service in support of the Mounds <br /> View Festival in the Park parade and car show; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program <br /> of the Boy Scouts of America; and, <br /> WHEREAS, requirements to attain the rank of Eagle Scout include earning at least <br /> 21 merit badges and demonstrating Scout Spirit through the Boy Scout Oath and Law, <br /> service, and leadership; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Daniel's Eagle Scout project was completed this spring--he designed <br /> and coordinated completion of an outdoor seating area at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, Daniel was presented with his Eagle Scout Award at a ceremony on <br /> May 17, 2015, at the Mounds View Community Center. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council does <br /> hereby extend congratulations and deserved recognition to Daniel Niedfeldt-Thomas on his <br /> noteworthy and tremendous achievement of attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. <br /> Adopted this 22nd day of June, 2015 <br /> e Flaherty, r <br /> ATTEST: <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (SEAL- <br /> - <br />
