CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE 2016 CHEVROLET IMPALA SEDAN AND
EQUIPMENT SETUP COSTS
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department maintains a replacement
schedule of police vehicles to ensure that the police department can provide reliable
quality service to the community with a dependable fleet of police vehicles and;
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department planned and budgeted for the
replacement of two squad cars in 2015 for a total budget of$65,000 with $36,000
designated for the Utility vehicle, which was approved by resolution 8392 and the
remaining $29,000 available for the cost of the 2016 Chev Impala and equipment setup
and;
WHEREAS, three separate estimates were obtained for the 2016 Chevrolet Impala
Sedan with the lowest estimate of$18,193.65 from Thane Hawkins Polar Chevrolet and;
WHEREAS, the cost of equipment setup, tax and licensing will total approximately
$4343.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota to authorize the purchase of one 2016
Chevrolet Impala Sedan ata cost of$18,193.65, plus setup equipment, tax and
licensing costs of approximately $4343.00 for an overall total of$22,536.00.
