CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION SELECTING COVERAGE FOR THE 2002/2003 INSURANCE
POLICIES
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is currently making application for insurance
policies to cover the period of July 1, 2002 through June 30, 2003; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 466.04 require that the City Council elect to not
waive the monetary limits on municipal tort liability prior to the effective date of the
coverage; and
WHEREAS, It is not in the best interest of the City of Mounds View to waive the
monetary limits; and
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View's insurance has for several years provided
worker's compensation coverage for members of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the insurance policy requires that worker's compensation coverage for
members of the City Council be decided in a resolution passed by the City Council.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Mounds View that the monetary limits on municipal tort liability are not waived and that
workers compensation coverage for members of the City Council shall be provided.
Adopted this 10th day of June 2002.
